Q: I pulled the ultimate sucker maneauver and accidentally deleted all my MAC addresses, except for my ethernet card “(not necessary for a wireless connection), while leaving the MAC address filtering on.
So, I I tried to get back by connecting directly with an Ethernet cable, but that did not work. I then tried to reset the router to factory settings using the reset button on the back, but not every time I attempt to work.
Now web admin page to open I get a generic IE can not access to that web page “error. Ive tried using the previous IP address and default, but will not work.
Questions:
1. Is there a precise sequence of steps to properly reset to factory settings?
2. Is it possible the firmware upgrade, without access to the web admin?
3. Where can I upgrade the firmware for hardware version 1.1? The firmware upgrade on the Linksys website only supports hardware version 2.2 and on higher.
Thanks advance.

After over an hour on the phone with Linksys tech support it turns out that the router is fried and needs to be exchanged.
Thanks for all of your input.
Had the same problem with my SMC. Since its 3 years old, I pretty much chuck it and got another one.

Re:Did you press the reset button until the DIAG light on the front turned on? You have to press the reset button for at least that long to reset the router back to factory defaults. It should take ~8-10 seconds.

Re:DHCP accross the board (I.S.P. uses it, my pc is configured for it, and the router was configured for and working with it).
Re:Question, are you set up for DHCP or a static IP?
Re:I've tried pressing the reset button for 10+ seconds both with the power on and with the power off. It has been unplugged all night, so hopefully it'll work by the time I get home.

Or just pull the plug and wait a bit.
That won't work because it doesn't reset the FlashROM. You do that by pressing the reset button for about 15sec.

You should only have to hold down the reset button for like 10 sec or so. Everything should go back to defaults.
