Q: At this moment the price of a Radeon 9800 non pro is 240 U.S. dollars to buy the best, and thats the best price Ive seen for along time. do you think the price of the Go 9800 is significantly lower (u003c = $ 200) in the near future (1-2 months)? Or do you think I just need now to 9800?
Re:just look on the BB website, its sold out:(

The local (Clearwater, FL) Best Buy has pulled all of the non-pro 9800's off the shelf and sent them back to ATI. Appears they are on to the non-pro to pro flash mod. The BB sales guy flat out told me that. His words were "recalled because they're being hacked". More likely they are tired of people buying the cards and returning them when they find out they don't have Samsung RAM on them.
I agree with them. If BB is getting screwed with too many returns, then they have the right to pull them off their shelves. I can understand a hardcore techie returning a card maybe once, but I've heard of some people doing this three or four times. That, in my opinion is ridiculous!

OOS online and in Lithonia, GA, too–I just checked, hoping to score an opened box. They were out of the entire 9800 series even though it looked like the other Radeons had just been stocked.
Re:I don't see any reason why they would drop the price of the 9800np. Plus, it looks like if you want one you better grap it now, with them disappearing all of a sudden.
Re:most likely only the 256 pro will drop in price with the release of the XT, i dont see the 9800 np and the 9800 pros dropping much if any

Re:With the MSRP of the 9600XT set at $200, I don't expect the 9800np to get any cheaper. Best Buy seems to be the only supplier of 9800s now, too, so it's not like they've got any reason to go lower.
