Q: There is now Funked Up with my Media Player 9. Ive never had a problem clicking on a link and the movie mpeg spot. (Download). But now when I click on a media player mpeg boot and hangs on “Connecting”. Task Manager shows mplayer.exe is hogging 99% of my CPU cycles. I end with him dead from the task manager. I am able to local MPEGs already reside on my computer games, but I can not seem to stream. I tried several other formats such as WMV files and they work fine. Anyone familiar with this?
Re:Please PM me or post here if you ever figure it out. I'm stumped. I emailed interlink about winDVD possibly causing it and they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Re:Maybe try turning your video hardware acceleration down in display properties.
Other than that, look here (http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#wmp9). That site should be in a FAQ somewhere, Hui.
Re:Bump for any more ideas ?
Re:It's definatley just with my PC. Other PC's are able to stream the files no problem. As far as codec packs I've upgraded to the newest version of media player via windows update which is the exact same configuration as the other pc's that are able to stream the files. I haven't bothered installing any aftermarket codec packages being that it's not some odd codec that I need. I'm kinda stumped on this one.
Re:Installed any codec packs lately?
Re:I'm not familiar with the problem, but does it happen with only one particular link or all mpeg links? Do other computers with WMP9 also have the same problem with that specific link, or just yours? I would try to figure out if the problem is with the link or your computer.
