Q: If you plan to upgrade this check to avoid unnecessary frustration.

Re:You are absolutely right.
You buy a Car and there is a schedule to Change Oil Lube. , and other maintenance procedure.
99% of the people see it as a fact of life, you take the car to a Service station you pay and they do the Job.
Some people do it themselves and no One is expecting it to be free.
You sick you need a Doc. You pay for an office visit.
When it come to computers the culture want, Free maintenance, Free Programs, Free after Rebate Hardware, and Free advice (Yeah what you and I and others doing here free advice. I can tell from first hand experience that this advice is not necessarily always easier then Medical Advice).:brokenheart:
So the VCR will keep Blinking 12:00 Jan. 01, 0001 and every one will be happy.
P.S. Interesting enough, not only that the advice is free on BBSs, very few people bother to thanks you, and the worse is the discriminatory Thank, which is the people that can not appreciate the effort of many (even if it did not help) and choose to emphasize thank one person out of the 6-10 that tried to help them.:disgust:
:sun::sun::sun:
Thank every one to add to the issues that have to be attending to.
Please keeps it coming.

Re:They don't have it on there but I had to reinstall Intel PROSet Wireless before it worked after the upgrade.
Re:LOL LOL
isnt it funny that with XP2 (the forced on firewall) every nooblar and AOL user (basically MANY people using windows) has to know what 'ports' and 'port opening' is ?
I can tell you that a MAJORITY of people (the whole mainstream "non geek' people and actually the ones SP2 mostly targets) do not even know what TCP/IP is..and for sure are not much into concepts like 'ports' etc…
I can see MS there opening a big can of worms now with a lot of *potential* problems coming along when people all of a sudden see their favorite programs not working rigt anymore ![]()
Re:My IOGEAR Bluetooth (widcom) only required a reinstall of the drivers and now it works.
To anyone supporting HIMSA Netowrk software BEWARE. SP2 Kills the Network version Of Noah 3 and totally Kills Noah 2 (which is no longer supported.)
Re:Thanks for the link Jack!
I installed SP on my laptop, but since it was already doing ZoneAlarm Pro, I just disabled the MS firewall (Control Panel, click the Icon, turn it off).
I'll be bringing it up on some of the other machines though.
The Kensington Bluetooth device (Widcomm) and code still causes a bluescreen and messes with the 802.11 wireless stuff though.
Take care
Scott
