Q: If a network adapter is installed on a Win9x machine, a dialog appears after each boot, asking for a username and password. The default password is always empty, and the dialogue can be dismissed by clicking “OK” or “Cancel” 0.
I know that changing “Client for Microsoft Networks” to “Windows Logon” to “Network” dialog box allows disappears and I can still have access to public network resources.
What exactly I change this option when I? Are there any advantages or disadvantages of the two institutions? I prefer to not see the dialog, because this is a single-user machine. How can I add / remove users / edit / manage users in Win9x?
I not want a password, but Im curious: What would the password be set or changed?
Which Win9x settings are user-specific?

Re:When I disable the dialog, can I be sure that it isn't logging in with a user name? Or is it going to log in with the default username (Windows is registered to "Anonymous")? I don't think a user named "Anonymous" could access the Guest account on a WinNT/2K/XP machine…

Re:The network logon allows you to logon to a windows domain, or to any network resources that require a username/password. Perhaps these other resources don't require one, or the guest account is enabled.
