Q: Is it possible to use software RAID 0 for a system partition in Windows 2000? I have two hard drives of the same size and I want my expansion I / O performance. Only problem is that everything Ive read to date indicates that you can not a RAID 0 configuration on the system / boot partition. I would really like a completely transparent striping configuration that only one disk / partition shows have under Win2K. Is there a workaround to achieve this?

Nope, won't happen in Windows.
What he said.
Besides, if you could have a true hardware RAID for such a small amout of money why would you want to bother with a software-based raid?

Re:Ok but what I'm really looking to find out is if anyone has found a workaround. I seems reasonable that there may be a way that a software app or some kind of OS tweak could make this happen.

Re:No. Win 2K can do software RAID 0 as such, but not on your system drive.
You could get a true hardware RAID controller now for about $125 or so.
