Recommend good gaming headset w / mic? [decent sound] [good gaming]

Q: Preferably a circumnaural (over-the-ear) setup with , so I could use for music. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
guy

Re:I got an MLI one for ~$10 when Mplayer store was closing. Took me 3 weeks to get it, but its niiiceee. Almost noise cancling, the earpieces are made out of the same material they are (that pastic/foam stuff thats shiney). Really sturdy, with a mic toggle and a volume control on the wire. Don't get one w/o a volume control, as i's a PITA. I like mine cause I can turn my speakers down and use my headphones when people are sleeping. W/o a volume control, I was controlling volume with windows, which isn't fun.

Re:Another vote for the Plantronics…forget exactly which model, but the hi-fi ones with the guy on the front of the box :)

Re:I really love my MS Gamevoice. I'd recommend getting one for the puck and software and then getting the Plantronics HS1's (the gamevoice comes with the smaller LS1's).

Re:I use the Labtec C-324. I'm sure there are better out there, but it has volume control and mic mute which comes in real handy. And it's faily inexpensive.

Re:I spent quite a while looking last year & decided on the Plantronics HS1. For MAJOR audio-buffs, they may not be your cup-of-tea, but I think they have an excellent combination of sound quality, comfort, & price. I had a pair of lower-end seinheisers (sp?) & these actually have a much better quality sound, PLUS have a nice built-in mic. I think I only paid about $35 for mine last year, but they retail for around $50, I think.

Re:I've used a set of Plantronics now for a couple years and love them. Th equality is good enough for me to use them for calling long distance on my PC.

Re:Yeah I would like to know the same thing. I volume control on the mike would be nice too.
