Q: How do you go about resetting the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Access Point? All documents on the site only say how to do this with firmware versions 11.07 and up, the boot version 1.06 and above. The Access Point firmware is 11.21 (I think), and the boot version 1.09. I know its a shot in the dark, but if anyone can help, or know where I can get help would be greatly appreciated.
Re:Ok one question is this VXWorks of Cisco IOS? It makes big difference on how you intend to reset it.
i just did an AP350 but it was IOS based…
Re:when it reboots i think it shows the IP that it's supposed to respond to. I'll try and get in through the web interface.
Re:Ouch. We were always told by Cisco we'd have to send it in if we lost the password. Perhaps there is a hack but the GUI will want a password as well I believe. Do you know what the IP is and if so have you tried to login to the browser admin interface?
Re:I cant get into the prompt, it asks me for the username and password. It isnt set to get the IP from the DHCP server.
Re:You can do it a couple of ways. There is an option in the CLI to default the AP, or you could flash it. Doesn't matter if it's the same firmware. Flash it anyway. It will default the AP. Overkill. You can do it from the prompt. I imagine you could do it from the web interface as well. I just never used it much.
Re:You notice how it says and newer.
Re:I have already looked at that site, and I have newer firmware than the ones on that page.
Re:I have no idea, but is there a reset button? Do you have the manual?
