Re:Another option is to install the VNC (http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc) server on the Linux box, and the VNC client on the Windows machine. Not as elegant as using an X server on a Windows machine, but gets the job done for some.

It works perfectly… You can also find numerous other version which include
several other utils like nfs mounts and lpr printing… But you can get away
without those using samba!!
