Q: First Im using as a general checkup PCPitStop utility and wonder whether another recommended by any of you?
Secondly, does anyone know of a disk defrag program that is better than the one that comes with Windows? Preferably a free download verision.
Thirdly, I noticed that when a page is loaded – online – some of the graphics will not load, but it appears the box, and “x” where image should be . Suggestions? Finally PCPitStop
And shows my hard disk but does not uncached suggesitons . is that a problem? Just curious.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Best Answer: I own one and love it if you can afford it than defiantly fully customize one and it will be great I use mine for games, video editing, and also photoshop and it works great for all these things and for just regular computing.
Re:Go to http://www.surecool.com for Win ME defrag. That site has a self installing D/L that will do the whole job for you.
Re:TANSTAAFL!
Do a google search on – fasoldt defrag – and you will find how to DL the defrag from WinMe and further instructions.

Re:I use Diskeeper 7.0 for defrag but now they offer Diskeeper lite which is FREE.
Click the appropriate button and then click next.

Re:First, in reply to guy…I was looking for some freeware if possible. And, in response to your reply to Moogen, I am running Windows98 also. Is there some way that I can download the WindowsME defrag utility and install it on my computer?
In reply to guy…I don't think that it is creator of the website as the first one that I noticed was my opening page for msn. I'm wondering if maybe some of my settings are not correct. SIDE NOTE: I recently upgraded my version of msn.
One other thing, I am now getting a message box that pops up saying that my disk is full and I need to run Disk Cleanup. Disk Cleanup is showing that I have 3.26 MB in my "Temporary Internet Files" and .5 MB in my "Temporary Files." I have been doing alot of downloading of mp3 files and am wondering if that would be causing this?
Any other suggestions?

I think that usually occurs when the person who created the website has incorrectly named the filename of the graphic or placed it in the wrong location. It's not your system.
Re:See my reply to "a question for all you windows gurus…" from Moogen. And I use Ontrack SystemSuite for my utilities. It's not too expensive and works as well or better than Norton's SystemWorks. Ontrack just sold a lot of their utility software titles to another company, but if you go to the Ontrack site you will be directed to the correct location. Several web sites like Chumbo stock it as well as many of the big box stores (CompUSA, BestBuy, etc.)
