Re:If you can get a DDR Radeon at that price then it definetly is a value card. But unfortunately for most people, since they don't send in the rebates, it doesn't turn out that way. But if you do send in the rebate and find a good price then you're right, it is by far the best value card.

sorry I fall on a different train of thought, I am kind of closeminded in this aspect but whenever I think of value or any purchase for that matter I only consider things that I personally would buy.
and in this case it would either be the hercules gf2 mx since it is the fastest out of the box, and or the ATI radeon 32 ddr, since after rebate, and in my case without rebate it is the same price as the herc and the sdr radeon, actually since I didn't have to pay tax the ddr radeon was cheaper for me, 151 vs. 154 (yeah it is minimal but it is still money )

Re:I would have to agree.. unless you got the radeon for $120, the MX seems to be a better value… not quite as fast, and about +-$50 less depending…. factoring out that rebate.. because a lot of ppl say they'll do it, and they never do.. from what I've seen.

Re:well since you can get a ddr 32 meg radeon for about the same price as the sdr radeon or a high end MX (eg asus or Herc) after rebate or if you order online (mine was 151 shipped from buy.com)
then heck yeah it is a "value" card

Re:I wouldn't say that the DDR Radeon is the best value card. Are you sure that isn't supposed to be SDR? The best value card is a toss up between the SDR Radeon and the GF2 MX in my opinion.
