Q: I have only two DDR slots. 384MB PC2100 got now, my friend will buy my 128MB memory stick. And I could get a 256MB stick from newegg. So it cost me a total of $ 27 up to 384 MB for an upgrade to 512 MB. Is it worth the money? My system in my sig. I play games like bf1942, ut2k3, U2 . Thank you.
Best Answer: Well, the p4 3.0 ghz at FSB 533mhz is a very good processor but the 3.0ghz at FSB800mhz would be better and cheper as it has roughly 333MHZ better performance and you said its cheaper.. i reccomend getting the 3.0ghz at FSB800mhz. The difference between the two would be quite different…. you would see the boot time and loading time of programs will load better on the 3.0ghz at FSB800mhz rarther than the p4 3.0 ghz at FSB 533mhz.

I'm planning to buy a 512MB DDR PC2100.
The reason for me to buy 512MB rather than 256MB is, you know there are only two memory slots there, if you buy 256MB now and find you need more later, you have to throw 256MB to add 512MB. So I'll buy a 512MB now.
