Q: The last week or two dual-core Opteron everyone recommend to people, why? Whats the big difference between this and the X2? Why has it only been recently recommended its dual core Opterons new or somthing?

Well the 165 is cheaper than the 3800, but I think it remains to be seen if the average 165 will overclock better than the 3800, not to mention the xtra challenges of working with a 9x multi..

yup. the 165 is less than $300, clocked 200 mhz slower than the $320ish X2 3800+ but has an extra 512kb per core.
definitely worth it.

Re:s939 dual core opterons are new. And they overclock very well.
