Q: I keep hearing that Windows Setup will not let do a clean installation on a disk larger than 32GB. Is this true?

The 32 GB limitation is I think something that someone confused with the BIOS (part. AMI BIOS, which would only recognize a certain size of HDD with certain versions of that BIOS).
I haven't got an unpartitioned 45+ GB HDD floating about, so can't test it for you 
. Either way, I can't see problems to be honest.
Should work nicely, AFAIK.

Re:Well, I'm actually in the process of partioning the drive as I type on another machine now. I'm dividing it up because I tried installing and the windows setup kept crashing.

Re:i do not have an answer to your question, but i have another question for you. why would you want to install win98se in anything larger than 3-5 gigs? hell, i have it on 2 gigs. and have all my appz, mp3, backups, linux/beos in different partitions.
