Q: Money is no object, what would you buy desktop. He thinks Dell. I tried to convince him to let me build its because Ive built every computer everyone in my family, but he is adament about buying a pre-made system.
Any thoughts? I have no idea about any of the manufacters more .

Re:guy, I would hesitate to get Media Center if you're not going to use any of its features. If your dad is doing productivity, just get XP Home. He's not going to use any of the Media Center features, and all that extra UI stuff will just be a waste.

Re:I'd go with a Dell.. I have no prob. recommending them to people who don't want to put up with hassles. Dell gives decent support even when they don't necessarily have to, and the machines run well overall.
I like this one, size is a factor for me, though.
