Standard antivirus packages will work on server 2003? [home servers] [testimonials]

Q: while I know its not the standard way of doing things, which is home antivirus packages will work with server 2003?

since this home server, I do nothing special, just something I do not need a good detection rate as well as something that does not consume too much resources.

i think I read that CA Antivirus 2007 works. I got up to (3 Pack for $ 30 license) buy, but before I did, I wanted to make sure by getting some or recommendations for other products.

Another vote for NOD32. Best antivirus software ever.

That's a BOLD claim. :P Over the last 6 months Eset has been playing second fiddle to Kaspersky and Avira in all credible independent reviews. Not only have their detection rates declined, but their support and ability to add submitted samples has suffered. They are still a great company, but it's obvious that they are facing obstacles. Look how long it has taken them to release ESS to beta.

I think it's more of a trade-off that one takes. I personally find Kaspersky too slow and clunky for the few % increased detection rate. But hey, that's one guy's opinion.

What version of Kaspersky did you try? I am using the latest (antivirus only, real time protection set at recommended) and it is only using 15mb of RAM with no noticeable impact on performance.

Re:Check out www.activevirusshield.com for AOL Antivirus (reallly Kaspersky Lite).

But if you want true speed and a small footprint with a better-than-average-detection-rate spend $40 on NOD32. Nothing beats it.
