Q: not talking about just two PCs with a crossover cable . I have a few, maybe 5-10.
I will not actually be doing this but Im just wondering . obviously a central management point as a hub would make it much easier. Not to mention the lower cost / headache of additional NICs and cabling.
But it is possible to place two NICs in each comp, give each NIC a static IP, and then daisy chain them.
It makes logical sense to me . but is it possible?
Seems though the

Q: The network is 2 PCs with two 10/100 NICs and a crossover cable. Everything works, I can share files and internet connection as usual. Q: Ok, I have till Philly today to drive the network of my sister and her roommate computer. They want to go with a crossover cable, because it is cheaper than a hub (at least on each W u0026 M store). Problem is, staples only carries a 10ft crossover, they need atleast 30. I was planning on the coupling point of the cross-over with a regular patch cable. Would they notice that the speed problems, or worse?
