Q: I have a computer connected to one another using a crossover cable and transfers range from
2mbps – 7mbps.

I Network Setup Wizard and the network assigned IP address of 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3

What is the problem? Also can I go to both computers and share them, but the only things I can share the files and folders in the shared documents, even after I sharing and security settings changed.

Q: Ok I want to transfer files between two laptops, I have a crossover ethernet cable.

I plug it into any computer, how do I transfer the files?

Q: I have a Linksys router with 4 ports and a dlink 713P. Is there anyway I can connect these two routers to extend my network?
The Linksys has an uplink port, if I plug in the WAN port Dlink, Dlink the WAN light doenst even turn on.
Do I need a crossover cable? Has anyone tried this setup? Should I keep DHCP? Which IP address should I use? Anyhelp would appreciated.

I have the same network name on both machines, and IP addresses 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. Every computer on the network sees itself, but neither sees the other. Q: Hi, I recently bought a Dlink wireless router with a built-in 4-port switch (DL-614 +). I was wondering how I can use the router as just a switch and access point?
