Q: I have a computer connected to one another using a crossover cable and transfers range from
2mbps – 7mbps.
I Network Setup Wizard and the network assigned IP address of 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3
What is the problem? Also can I go to both computers and share them, but the only things I can share the files and folders in the shared documents, even after I sharing and security settings changed.

The Linksys has an uplink port, if I plug in the WAN port Dlink, Dlink the WAN light doenst even turn on.
Do I need a crossover cable? Has anyone tried this setup? Should I keep DHCP? Which IP address should I use? Anyhelp would appreciated.

Q: I have a Win2K machine and a WinME machine is connected via crossover cable. I have installed TCP / IP and the cards are there, all good as far as I can tell. I have the same network name on both machines, and IP addresses 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. Every computer on the network sees itself, but neither sees the other. Ping does not work (100% packet loss and timeout) and u0026quot; search: ___u0026 quot; does not work. Any ideas?

Q: Hi, I recently bought a Dlink wireless router with a built-in 4-port switch (DL-614 +). I was wondering how I can use the router as just a switch and access point? I am a student in a dorm with a 10 base T Ethernet port, but I have 2 computers. I used a crossover cable to the wall jack to connect to one of the ports of the switch (not the WAN port). If I do this I can network and Internet to a computer that I connected to the router / switch, but my laptop with a wireless Internet connection

Q: The network is 2 PCs with two 10/100 NICs and a crossover cable. Everything works, I can share files and internet connection as usual. My problem is that the network often a time-out, I mean that the connection stops working and no data transfer between two PCs. 1. Several NICs.
2. Several PCI slots.
3. Different network speeds (100 and 10 / 2 and ful
