PC to PC using crossover cable is slow [crossover cable] [network wizard]

Q: I have a computer connected to one another using a crossover cable and transfers range from
2mbps – 7mbps.

I Network Setup Wizard and the network assigned IP address of 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3

What is the problem? Also can I go to both computers and share them, but the only things I can share the files and folders in the shared documents, even after I sharing and security settings changed.

about 1 or 2 years ago I use to network my two computers without hub penance. I had a crossover cable (the orange Cat 5 cable) 0.

now im trying to do the same, but no luck .
I just built a computer and was trying to transfer my mp3s. but I can not seem to get his computer running working.

Linking a Linksys router with a Dlink router HELP [linksys router] [crossover cable]

Q: I have a Linksys router with 4 ports and a dlink 713P. Is there anyway I can connect these two routers to extend my network?
The Linksys has an uplink port, if I plug in the WAN port Dlink, Dlink the WAN light doenst even turn on.
Do I need a crossover cable? Has anyone tried this setup? Should I keep DHCP? Which IP address should I use? Anyhelp would appreciated.

Q: I have a Win2K machine and a WinME machine is connected via crossover cable. I have installed TCP / IP and the cards are there, all good as far as I can tell. I have the same network name on both machines, and IP addresses 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. Every computer on the network sees itself, but neither sees the other. Q: Hi, I recently bought a Dlink wireless router with a built-in 4-port switch (DL-614 +). I was wondering how I can use the router as just a switch and access point? I system (sometimes boot in win98) and I just built my second box of redhat7.

Ive got 2 NICs and a crossover cable. Physically they are functional. I ping eaches respective static IPs 0.

I want to be able to easily share files.

Also if its possible, ICS internat would be great. My 2000 box has the modem, and the ISA, so I can not switch to another box.
