Newer steppings of Opteron 165 170 3800 + X2 [newegg] [memory controller]

Q: I was suggesting the Opty 165 as an upgrade for a socket 939 single core to someone, and I was asked about them a rebadged X2. I have a few things about being a rebadged X2 steppings LCB9E read, some say theyre all the same, some say no, a real Opty the controller should have a better memory than a X2, and that just a normal LCB9E X2 Toledo core.
Newegg seems to have been the shipping of LCB9E Opteron 165, 170 and 3800 + X2

Anyone knowledgeable enough to respond to this?

Q: I see that the version of the ATI 9700 Pro sells for about $ 330 on newegg. And then I see PowerColor 9700 (http://www.gameve.com/store/gameve_viewitem.asp?idproduct=717). Is there a big difference in performance between the two?

Problems browsing / surfing with Internet Explorer 6 [newegg] [infront]

Q: Hey, Im trying my friends laptop fixed. His problem is that when he tries to browse, he has to type “http://” in the URL (for each page). It can not just type in, for example: www.cnn.com or newegg.com, “http://” must precede the whole thing in url.

How can I fix this? Its really annoying to always type in the http:// infront of each site for all the help he can give to.

Thanks us.

Q: Well ive been looking for about a month for a new LCD monitor before I wanted a 17 inch, but after posting on the forum 19 seems the way to go. So anyway I have now narrowed down my budget to $ 300-350 $ ($ 400 max). I looked at newegg for good deals and I saw an attractive monitor-http: / / www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16824112173 (Blue LED matches my case) thoughts ? Even if someone is not in my budget recommendations. Has to have DVI, has at least 12 ms and has to be black,
