And cannot find this service tag they want ???

I have a dell 1800fp

The monitor has nothing to do with it! guy means install the latest Graphic Card drivers from the manufacturer, either ATI, nVidia, or Intel most likely.

Why don't you tell us what kind of computer you have and what video card is installed in it.

Sorry about that…noobs…

:o

I have a P4 2.4 /120 GB/RAEDON 9000 PRO 64 MB/INTEL BOARD 845 CHIPSET/1GB PC 2700

What Catalyst driver are you using?

FYI My KDS monitor does come with drivers as well.

I have no idea of what a catalyst driver is or which I have ???
sad yes I know..

viet,I tried all of that..thanks though..

Download this file (http://www2.ati.com/drivers/wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-94-030917m-011434c.exe), run it, install it, and that should sort it.

Re:Turn off smooth scrolling in IE. And try turning off all the fluff (fading menus, shadows) in windows xp.

system properties->advanced tab->performance setting

Set it to adjust for best performance. You will lose the nice blue taskbar and window dressing.

Dell does have inf files for their lcd's. Go to their support website.
