Q: I saw where someone posted on these boards ocworkbench available on NCIX (I know, some people think they are scum) so I thought I would give it a shot, although most thought that this board was vaporware. Well, they just sent me an email saying that shipped.
BTW – I think this is the same as the onboard SL75DRV2 w / ATA133 support.
Re:I order from ncix quite a bit and have found the site easy to order from and the prices very good. Very user friendly interface on the website and lots of options for shipping etc.
I take the insurance and my one issue is with their packing policy which I complained about twice on hard drive orders. OEM hard drives were wrapped around once in small bubble wrap and in a box of "peanuts" which meant it was sitting on the bottom against the cardboard. Surprise! the drive failed 2 months later as did another one that was 2 months older. It cost me the shipping but they were replaced and sent back. This time, wrapped in three wraps (about 3/4" of small bubble wrap) so I took pictures and sent them an email pointing out the mfg recommendation of 2" of foam versus their policy. They just blew me off saying it was adequate and they had few returns…..after sending me 2 rma'd hard drives!
They dont have a price guarantee either which makes it up to you to search their ads to find the lowest price for the same product. They dropped my cpu by 10 bucks the day after they shipped mine and told me tough.
Other than that, its a good place to shop but I wont buy another hard drive from them.
Re:You can always try Misr Corp (http://www.misrcorps.com)
Re:Bad link – here ya go (http://soltekusa.safeshopper.com/8/40.htm?600).
Re:You don't get any kind of warranty with the soltek board from newegg. In other words, if you buy it, you better hope you don't need to return it. Look here (http://http://soltekusa.safeshopper.com/8/40.htm?600) for more details. Just warning you. I love newegg and always try to buy there, but this is one exception.
Re:<< Ultra ATA133?. Another worthless spec for most of us. >>
Exactly!

Re:NCIX is perfect for my canadian butt.. its only a short drive away so I give them my support!
I'm sure nobody cares but whatever
Re:That's what I mean. RMA to Canada vs California.
Re:<< Have read both good and bad about NCIX. Been debating about the SL75DRV2 from them for $93.00 or $99.00 @ Newegg. >>
When it comes to ordering any mobo, return policy is everything! ![]()

So what's the big deal? ATA133 is useless (unless you need a hard drive larger than 130GB)!
