Q: The problem is that I willl like to play 5-10 minutes, then the lock-up. No other game I have is that . and I can play Counter Strike and Quake 3 for hours . no problem . anyideas?

Re:what is the voltage of your io bus? It caused some problems for me, it may be in your case too. And it only did it in quake on mine, while all the others ran smoothly.

Re:what is the rest of your system, and what OS are you using? UT did the same thing for me when i had a Voodoo2 1000 in Win2k, and i was using the early beta win2k drivers.
