Re:check the slot nearest to the cpu and see whether
it's coloured brown or black
and it is also pushed back from the usual arrangements of the pci slots(pci slots are coloured white)
if your motherboard has that kind of slot, then it has an agp slot

Re:the processor is 2.8ghz, and i'll have to find out if i've got an agp slot er not…how do i tell? (sry, i'm no computer whiz)

Re:wow ha! upgrade from sis! make sure the comp has an agp slot. it seems most vaios with sis graphics don't.

Re:why didnt you just order parts for christmas???

Re:how fast is the processor in your vaio?

Re:yes, that's a good card:D
too bad i didn't get it for christmas

Re:heh, yes i know…

and the link i posted before was the wrong link, this is the card i want:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=&submit=Go&description=SAPPHIRE+RADEON+9700

would that be a good card?

Re:Thats a big freakin upgrade from an ….*snicker*

Re:well since it was a xmas present my dad is going to be handling the $$$…and i would guess he would be willing to dish out about $300.

and i've never overclocked anything, so i'm not even gonna try to do that with this card.

Re:What's your budget?? :)

edit:

It's a good card and it'll last you for a very long time. If you're into overclocking, you can try o/cing it to 9700 Pro speeds. :)
