Q: Can I use the USB 2.0 driver instead of NEC?
Best Answer: I'm by no means an expert, but i think the asus is better as it can can uses more and faster ram, plus it has nvidia which i think is better than Ati.

Re:Is this an add in PCI card, or is this built in to a motherboard? If it's an add in PCI card thats made by NEC but uses a VIA chip then yeah, via drivers would work. If it doesn't have a via chip, then no they won't work, that would be like putting diseal fuel in a gasoline engine..
