USB 2.0 Windows XP without SP1 [usb 2] [ports]

Q: pretty stupid to install XP because I get major problems with the mouse in games and this only happens after I install SP1 or XP or something else that only SP1. So how can I drivers for my .0 with Windows XP.

Best Answer: I am assuming that you dont have either sp1 or sp2. It all depends on the drivers because the drivers for .0 may require you to install the service packs before you can intall the drivers for .0.
Now if you went from windows xp to windows xp sp 2, it will automatically contain associated sp 1 within sp 2. Even if Windows XP is pirated you should still be able to install the service packs. You must have a virus or spyware, sometimes they will prevent you from installing them on your pc.
Update:
Right now it looks like you don't have any service packs installed. When you install the service pack, so not install the genuine service pack because it will tell you that your windows is not authentic. I used to download service packs with a pirated version without installing the genuine service pack.

Re:If your mouse is doing weird things did you consider updating/reinstalling your mouse drivers after the problems started? Or looking at the mouse properties to see if something got changed? Or Quake 3? Maybe mouse sensativity got turned way up somehow and thats the problem. This doesn't sound like a SP1 issue, especially if it only happens in one game. I would blame the game first. And, IIRC, there is a MS patch (non-SP1/1a) for .0. I could be wrong, as looking at the MS site they all say to get SP1/1a. You could try Google and see if you get anything.

Go to your motherboard manufacturer's web site, they should have some .0 drivers on there

Nope. There all windows 9x .0 drivers :/. They say get sp1 to get .0 which i can but im not going to risk having to format again to get my games working again. Windows restore didn't fix anything only format…..
