Vista comes in I'll have to choose between 32-bit and 64-bit? [game developers]

Q: Can I choose which version to install or should I 32-bit or 64-bit before deciding to purchase?

I want to move to 64-bit, but Im afraid that are not going to support 64-Bit.

So Does anyone know how this all goes through the roof?

Thanks,

Re:They will probably have 2 products one for 32bit one for 64bit, the same way they currently do XP. That way you feel like you should buy a new OS when you upgrade.

I don't think both architectures will be on one DVD, mainly because there isn't enough room unless they use a dual-layer disc.

x64 is larger than x86.

I think Microsoft can afford the extra two cents it costs to make a dual layer DVD.

Isn't a dual layer DVD several times the cost of a single layer? It would probably be cheaper to include 2 single layer DVD's.

Re:I've read that 32/64 versions will be on the same install DVD. Not sure if they're still planning on doing that though.

Re:General idea i got when i asked this was 32 bit will run under 64 bit windows vista but absolutely no 16 bit code will. Meaning if you wanna play c&c 95 or any of the old and still playable! classics you will need to dual boot, or wait for versions that will run under vista to come. EA is always looking to make money, and theres always smart programmers willing to revive these classics.
