Q: I have an Asus p4b266 ansd whn him from the power of the network card lights stay and also the lights on my DSL router stay as well. Anyone know why this happens?

Thanks, It's kind of annoying cuz it keeps my router lights on as well. But I have my WOL disabled so shouldn't it keep it off? my old mobo with the same PSU & NIC didn't do this before.

Re:It's not anything to worry about unless you have WOL enabled. Most of the time though, WOL requires a cable connected from the NIC to the motherboard. If WOL is enabled I would disable it.

Re:Most newer nics will do this. I think it has something to do with the APM and possibly WOL.
