Q: We have a LAN party next weekend and we want to do some racing, we certainly will have Nascar 2002, what other good ones are there?
Best Answer: Medal of Honor: Airborne, very nice game, sounds like it will fit in well in your collection.
How come no STALKER, serious game well worth a look.(If you do play stalker you might want to try the sniperpro mod, makes guns more accurate and powerful, makes the game harder but much more rewarding and the inaccuracy of the weapons in vanilla STALKER get annoying.)
Half Life 2 and episodes are an absolute must considering the games you've listed.

Yah, you have to rename/delete a certain file just to get NFS,PU to run on XP
I've never heard of this. Where did you hear it?
This morning I installed off my CD and played for a little while without hacking anything. Well, except that when I tried the Alps track (my favorite one
) the game would crash back out to the desktop. Turning off lens flare fixed that though.
Then I updated to the most recent version by logging onto one of the game servers (is there any other way to get the patches?!?) and was still able to play through the Modern Era European Rally with no problems at all!
I noticed that when I went to start a multiplayer game, only "internet" and "peer-to-peer" were available choices….maybe i need to install another protocol for LAN games? I don't remember.
I was able to start a peer-to-peer game and play by myself…does that one work for you?
Interesting, based on your success I tried it on my main machine (different from the one I had previously) and it worked fine. Seems to be somewhat hardware dependant. Main machine = Geforce3 and XP1600, other machine = Radeon 64mbVivo and Tbird 1000, hmm have to play around somemore.

Re:Is that a multiplayer thing.
yes it's part of the multiplayer mode , and Midtown 1 also has it. set the golds weight to max, keep an eye on the map,
have fun.

Is that a multiplayer thing. I have Midtown Madness 1, never tried mp on that. Is MTM2 better, especially multiplayer?
Thanks for any and all input.

That's terrible! I don't think I've played NFS: PU since switching to XP. I've been wanting to play it lately so maybe I'll give that a try in the morning and see how it works out

I like NFS series.
Yah, I would love to get Porsche Unleashed going but it's extremely Win XP unfriendly. I can get the single player going in XP but as soon as I try and create a server it craps big time. Anyone with any insight to this particular problem would be extremely appreciated.
