What do you use for your online photo albums [online photo albums]

Best Answer: Taaz is great for hair, face etc. Picnik or Lunapic are great all round web based and FREE editing tools. Adobe, makers of the expensive Photoshop, now has a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. There are also free tools to add text blurbs, to make collages, to put your photo into other images. There are a number of tools that allow you to put the image of a face into other photos for some fun creations. Check out the links below for more ideas.

Re:i wrote my own gallery that supports skinning and storing the photos and captions in mysql. no admin interface yet though.

I've used Shutterfly and SnapFish and I like both. You can try them both at no cost. I really can't give strong recommendation of one over the other since I like them both.

I like Snapfish as well.

Re:flickr. (http://flickr.com)

Re:Simple PHP Gallery. It's stupid simple, you put the pictures in directories and it does a thumbnails page for each one and also a viewing page so you can just click through the gallery without hitting back every time. Just a basic step above guy's method which is sweet because it's really easy to tighten up because it doesn't accept much input from the web but still looks nice enough for non web-savvy folks.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be maintained anymore (the domain got unregistered) and someone forked it to do the usual overbloating.

Re:i put them in a blank folder on my webspace. then people click on the files.
