I thought that buying a game from my friend, but since Im fed up because his comp is not running smoothly, he decided it would be nice to your teammates to kill . wherever possible, as many servers. : Disgust:
So, question is worth one game to buy from someone who is more or less banned from any server. Can I have a new profile and play with it? Or would I be banned on the basis of access or something = game would be worth 0, -

Re:He shouldn't be globally banned as long as he didn't try to cheat. If he tried to use a cheat, depending on the type of cheat his machine id and cd key may have been banned by punkbuster. If all he did was TK a bunch of people, you should be ok. But it's your friend, just tell him your concerns and tell him you'll pay after you've tried it out on a few servers to make sure you aren't banned.

Re:More than likely he wasn't actually banned by the admin. He probably did enough team killing that the server auto-kicked/banned him. It's only a temporary ban and is lifted pretty quick. Not sure of how long but I have been "banned" from servers because idiots don't know how to read their maps and see me yelling "ARTY YOUR AREA." But I get back in when I try a little later, maybe a half hour or so.

Since your friend's bans are not for running cheats that punkbuster has picked up on, he is likely just banned locally by various administrators. They may be based on a unique user ID number that is associated with a particular user name. At least I assume that different accounts get unique ID numbers, regardless if they are created from within a single edition of the game. Anyway, if this is the case, you should be fine.
Maybe your friend will let you install and run the game for a few days before you have to commit to buying it.

Re:My first thought is that server admins would ban players regarding their IP. So as long as you aren't playing from said friend's computer, I'd think you'd be ok. However, I'd wait for a more definite answer before purchasing.
