Q: The fligh games ive played as a hardcore simulator. What is a good flight game that you can get in 30 minutes. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 stick, I hope it is compatible with newer Windows XP games. i dont mind propeller or jet.

I remember printing out every function for x-wing vs tie-fighter. It was 3 pages long. Now that's a space sim.

This game got boring fast. Nothing but fly here to there. The scenery isn't very detailed either so there's not much there.
Try IL-2 Sturmovik (sp?). WWII era fighter sim. The planes are mostly mechanical so there's not much to learn. You can also turn the realism down for a more arcade like feel.

Re:FS2004. A decent sim, but most of the aircraft that come default with the game are not terribly well modelled.
Added bonuse (but you need to spend more money): There are some reeeaally deep add-on commercial simulators for FS2004.
