Q: Well, I bought a computer from a retailer and then decided that I did not want, so I sold on eBay. In my eBay auction information I copied from the page of the retailer on the computer . but oops, it seems that the retailer page was wrong and the computer is not equipped with two software titles that require the eBay winner. I do not want the computer back to me, so I would like to know whether these two titles are freeware or if they are cheap and where I can find. I have tried everywhere to solve these things, but I can not find them! Can somene tell me of all online shops that or if they are free to offer download.
Thanks
PS: Never buy a computer Ubide, they lie on their computers . yep, thats what came out of this nightmare: (

Re:Thanks guy. Yeah, this guy has some serious emotional problems and seems to have some sort of a reading problem.

Re:guy, it seems like you've been hurt in some eBay auction and carrying your pain over here to unleash on this member.
It seems he is trying to fix the situation. He did not intend to rip anyone off.
He said he left it sealed, so he did not repackage it. That's like saying if you sold a brand new sealed video card on eBay and it didn't work, you intentionally ripped off the buyer.
guy, I recommend you give the buyer $80 to buy the xp5.0 boxed version and either give them some more for the Adobe LE or give a full refund. Or, buy a piece of hardware that has Adobe Premiere LE with it and send it to the person and sell the piece of hardware back on eBay. Also add a little extra for the delay in getting the full thing. The seller will get the upgraded versions of the software, too.

Re:Have you ever sold anything on eBay? Most people like to receive SEALED items. I bought both computer items at the same time, so how would I know to distrust them? And if only 1 item out of around 50 is wrong, I should never use them again?
lol, so when I lose an Amazon.com order I'm never supposed to order from them again?
The item was NOT repackaged. It was brand new, still sealed in the box. From your words, it seems like nobody should ever sell anything on eBay. Anyways, I didn't even make any money off of the auction. Why are you so hostile anyways? I'm trying to find ways to help this person out and you seem to like attacking me.

Re:<< So it's alright for an online retailer to "dupe" consumers? >>
Nope, nor do two wrongs make a right.
<< This is the second computer item that I've bought off of uBid and they they mislead me about both. >>
First one should have been the hint.
Q]I did use search engines, but I can't seem find Adobe Premiere LE [/i] >>
Because it's a bundled product, I don't believe there is a 6.0 le, but you can upgrade it to full Premiere 6.0(retail $549) for only $199, so it carries a definate value, that would make it harder to find in resale channels.
<< And where'd you find Sonix Foundry Studio xp4.5 for $80? That's a ripoff >>
Perhaps, but I'll bet they actually deliver with the product as opposed to paying for it and not receiving it, which would be my definition of a rip-off.
I'm sorry, but repackaging dubious auction deals to resell on ebay in the guise of "gee, I decided not to keep it for myself, and gee, they ripped me off before, but probably not THIS time, so hey, why waste all that time actually checking out the item I'm selling to someone else. Hey I can save some time by ripping off their ad and I'll just simply change shipping labels, easy money baby!" doesn't garner much sympathy from me.

Re:So it's alright for an online retailer to "dupe" consumers? I never touched the computer. I left it sealed in the box. uBid stated that it had all of this software on the computer, but they apparently lied about it. This is the second computer item that I've bought off of uBid and they they mislead me about both. But they're great for non computer items.
The eBay buyer already has the computer with her. I did use search engines, but I can't seem find Adobe Premiere LE at any online store. I believe that it's an old version of Premiere (I found a reference to it from 1999). And where'd you find Sonix Foundry Studio xp4.5 for $80? That's a ripoff. I can't seem to find that version at Sonic Foundry's website, instead they offer xp5.0 for a $70 download or $80 packaged.
Edit:
Anyways, I don't intend on "ripping" this person off. I do my best effort to keep my eBay consumers happy and it's shown in my 300+ positive feedback and no negatives.

Re:<< PS: Never buy a computer from uBid, they lie about their computers…yep, that's where this nightmare came from >>
You may have a beef with uBid, however, they are not the cause of this problem. You duped someone with false claims in an auction and thats particularly galling to me as a computer enthusuiast who buys most of my hardware online. You KNOW they're not freeware or inexpensive, they are lite versions of proffesional software that come bundled with specific hardware.
Sonic Foundry Sound Forge xp4.5 about $80 and Adobe Premiere Le comes bundled with video products such as video capture cards, it upgrades to Premiere 6.0 full for appx $199, so Premiere full at $549 – $199 = $350 approximate value(actually it will bundle with items that sell for a bit less)
Use a search engine for crying out loud. I mean, what have you done so far? Changed the address label on the package?
