Q: can my current system specs in my sig .
But as my next major upgrade, Im looking for:
1) keep my current KT7A RAID and jump for a 1.5GHz Palomino when it comes out and an extra stick of 256MB PC133 CAS2
2) ditching my current mobo / CPU combo for AMD760 DDR + + Palomino
or
3) 2GHz or higher Northwood + chipset which will join as RDRAM pricing comes down.

Re:1. new mobo, MSI 815pro or Asus Black Pearl, maybe a gig thrown in there. Move my p3 700 and BE6-2 to the sever, and move the p2 400 to a linux server. Turn the p2 233 into a keychain..:)
2. New HD, (server) biggest thing i can find (IDE, 5400, only 6 users on it)
3. More memory for the Laptop
4. New P/s to prepare for p4 upgrade. Enermax 651…
5. P4 northwood 2+ gig with 256 or more RDRAM, if the price is right and the performance is good.
6. redo the Home theater…Onkyo 989, a second sub, Infinity quad=pole surrounds…:)

Re:Take my Athlon 1Ghz CPU, AK73 1394(A) motherboard, 512MB CAS 2 memory, Radeon, Acoustic Edge out and buy a new case to build a VPN attacted to my cable modem. My ADI 19" will go with it.
Then get a Palomino, Aopen AK77P w/ RAID, 768MB DDR, ASUS 8200 Deluxe, and Hercules Game Theater XP, Firewire PCI card and probably a samsung 19" monitor

Re:i will basically do a complete system overall (mboard, cpu, memory, video card, sound card, case, cdrw drive) when neverwinter nights will come out. I will probably go AMD Pamino DDR route, Geforce3, Hercules Game Theater, at least 256 mB PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

Re:I have mine planned out, read my specs to see what I've got so far.
1) Kyro II this month (assuming it comes out without a problem), selling my Voodoo 5.
2) a second 20GB Maxtor ATA100 Hard drive, so that I can use RAID 0 on my KT7A-Raid.
Here is stuff I don't really plan to do, its only a "maybe":
3) A 21 inch or larger, flat screen, ViewSonic or Sony monitor. (this is only once my kick-ass ViewSonic 19 inch dies on me, if it ever does, 2 years, going strong).
4) New speakers and sound card (if they ever make speakers for the computer that compare to my home stereo, i dont see this happening any time soon)
5) LianLi PC-60 case, and a 400-watt PS

Re:Probably take out my p3-800 and move it to my other computer so its not such a pos. I'll replace it with a p3-1ghz.
I'll also move my mx300 over to the other comp for a new sound card… prob a herc game theater xp.
And a new DVD drive.
Not "BIG" but these are closer than a 2ghz machine.
