Q: Hey,
I have a s939 board that is overclocked to 3000 + Venice 2.4 GHz with a 3:2 divider memory, 200MHz memory and in turn ~ 1t. I have over 1gig ram for current games like BF2 and fear . will add 2512 more sticks of ram is still using memory dividers or is it down the memory clock to 333?

Re:1T going to 2T will not be terribly noticeable. Whatever FPS you lose you could make back with a video card overclock. However, not having 2GB in BF2 etc. will hurt you a lot more than using 2T. With a Venice you should still be able to run at DDR400, though.

On a scale of 1 to 10,
1 being a slight poke from a toothpick to your fingernail and a 10 being a sledgehammer to your fingers, I would say that this is a 1. Seriously though, most accounts point to 2T as a 3% performance hit compared to 1T. I wouldn't put it past 5%. It will not be too bad. If you had stated money wasn't an issue I would have said sell your ram and try to get a hold of 2X1GB though.

Re:Digiram you might have some trouble running it at over 200MHz, but using a divider shouldnt be a problem.

Re:I was wondering the same thing. I've got a winnie 3k oc'd to 2.3(9×255) with my mem(Patriot xblk) running 1:1. Anyone think that adding 2×512 ram(same kind of course) will cause problems with my current set up?

I can live with that, i have 3 other people logged into my computer most of the time so 1gig isnt enough for todays games really anymore

Re:You'll be able to adjust the memory speed back up to 400, but you will not be able to run 1T on four sticks.
