current top of the line cards will start by going down to about 300 bucks, slowly down to 200 and then be replaced by lower version of the new cards
but thats just a guess

Re:3x faster would be great! HOWEVER, I don't know if I believe that rumor. All throughout the introduction of new graphics cards, the increase has almost always been slight – more in the 30% – 40% range. Just my $.02 worth.
