Q: I tried to install Windows 95 on a laptop that does not have a CD-ROM. Where can I find the OS on all disks, or download it online in parts or something! I really need this done quickly because I sell this laptop, but it must be an OS. dos i already set, but I have windows on . Thanks for any help

Re:if you have a windows 95 CD, then you can get a special program (don't know names off the top of my head), that formats a floppy disk to have about 1.7 megs of space on it (or at least big enough to fit a cab on each disk — which is more then 1.44). Then you can install off disks.

Re:You may not have this capability, but if you have a way to hook that laptop hard drive up to another computer (you'll more than likely need the IDE cable adapter), you can copy the Win95 CAB folder to the hard drive and install it from there.
I haven't seen Windows on floppies since…. well, it's been a while.
BTW, if you've installed DOS and plan to put Windows 95 on it, you should format DOS off of it and load 95 clean.
