Q: Some time ago, I remember people downgrade to Acrobat 5.0 because 6 had to be bloatware. It was either 6 or 7, that the process kept after you shut the window. Is this still the case? Which version do you like?
Best Answer: >> If you just need to "READ" a PDF, Adobe 9 is enough
>> If you wanna "EDIT" a PDF, Adobe Acrobat Professional 9 is good! but it's not free….
Re:I tried foxit, but it cannot show the table of contents / bookmarks on the left.
Instead, they only show links to page number -(
Is there a setting somewhere I can change such that I can show the list of bookmarks / table of contents used for a certain PDF file?
That makes reading PDF file much easier.
Re:I use acrobat 6.0 because I hate 7.0's bundled spyware crap.

Foxit Reader is the best version of Acrobat.
Foxit, eh? Their site looks good, anybody else vouch for it?

Re:6.0 was horrible.
I had it tweaked so it was much faster, but when i got 7.0, it was faster than even my tweaked 6.0 ![]()
Re:Acrobat Reader 7 is much improved and faster than 6. I would not downgrade to another version of reader from it.
