Re:WindowMaker or Sawfish. I used to use KDE-2 but got fed up with its quirkiness, bloat and bad design… Fisher is right, WindowMaker rocks… (and it looks nice).

gnome and kde are neat and all, but WM runs alot faster for me and it's alot cleaner (i don't really wanna be reminded of how much i hate windows when i load X)
