Q: I have Pentium 4 1.6 GHz, 128MB SDRAM, 40 GB hard drive and a 128MB graphics card geforce4ti 4400. My computer is still slow Halo. Do I need more memory or is it something else?
Best Answer: If the video card is not able to handle the graphics, then the game won't start. Hit up Microsofts Chat, and someone will identify the problem specifically, because you need to know tech specs. Good Luck.

Re:Memory doesn't go in your hard drive, it goes in slots on the motherboard.
Right click on your desktop and choose properties… click the settings tab… click the advanced button… click the tab that corresponds with your video card's name… then on the left, a sidebar should pop up, click on the Performance and Quality category, and then move the sliders so that both are set to either off, or application control.

Re:It's everything, the small amount of RAM mainly though. Halo is a huge hog. Check out the video cards forums… there's a bunch of threads about how bad Halo looks for the way it stresses even some of the best gaming rigs.

Re:It's system memory easily, not only is there not enough but it's not nearly fast enough. If I were you I would upgrade to a 865 board with PAT, get 512MB PC3200 DDR and use all the rest of your current hardware.
