Q: my school has no access to hilarious USB flash drives on their computers. They removed my computer from the Start menu and desktop, and when I open an IE window and try “D”, it says “Access to the source D: is not allowed” 0.
how to get around this and easy access to my USB flash drive? 977 503 (As I last resort, Im sure I could just restart the computer via a live CD, but that takes a lot of extra time compared to just sit down and get to work)
Re:Discussing ways you can bypass your school/company network security policies is not allowed here.
Re:not really, you can access the address bar in word and try to execute other files from it. you just need to know the exact path

i used to just use microsoft word to get around it
but I can only open word files that way right?
Re:Create a shortcut to D:\ and put it on a floppy or cdrom drive. Explorer will allow you to access restricted areas if you use a shortcut. At least that worked for me with my school's Novell network when they accidently blocked access to flash drive.
