Q: Windows boot as normal, and just before it gets to the login and password screen, it blue. I get the following message: “The Logon User Interface DLL failed to load ginamsi.dll. Adminisrator Contact your system to the DLL, or restore the original DLL to recover.” I tried last known good vain. Can someone please help? Thank you very much.

Re:I always had issues with sp4 for 2k – dunno why – tried it on 3 different setups. SP2 and 3 were ok.
Must've worked for millions of others though.

Re:As I couldn't even get into safe mode, I had to throw in the Windows 2000 CD and repair it. I deleted Lockbox, and now it restarts regularly. However, my computer now acts like a Pentium 2 with 64 megabytes of RAM. It also won't let me install Service Pack 4 for some reason.

Re:I have no idea what's wrong, but if you want to replace that dll, boot from a CD or another hard drive and swap the file for the one on your windows CD.
