Q: Hey, there are other programs out there (for Windows, I use W2K pro) that can extract RARs WinAce next?

I love Powerarchiver (http://www.powerarchiver.org)
same here
Re:Another vote for ALZip.
Re:ALZip handles all the common compression formats AND it lets you decompress self-extracting executables via the context menu. Most freeware extractors have problems with that.
Re:IZArc (http://www.webattack.com/get/izarc.shtml) will handle rar files as well as 39 others and its free.
Re:I use winrar everyday with the nagware and never have a prob with it. zips/unzips/rar/unrar no prob esp when it comes to the right click menus. Only time i ever see the nag screen is when u actually open an archive up…
Re:I love Powerarchiver (http://www.powerarchiver.org)
Re:FYI you dot have to buy winRAR (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) to use it. IIRC maybe I'm wrong but its nagware (as in please send us money!) not a locked demo. In fact you never even see the nags because most of the time you just use the right click shortcut menu. I have been using mine for a while and it hasn't bothered me. I'm probably going to send them money though just because I use the thing every day and it kicks butt.
Re:Thanks for the responses! I only need to unpack infrequently, & don't want to spend the $ for WinRAR, so I'm downloading UltimateZip as we speak. If needs (as well as cashflow, ha!) change, I'll check out WinRAR as well…
Again, thanks for the help!
Re:another vote for winRAR. It should be included with all windows machines. The PAR parity files also are amazing.
Re:UltimateZip (http://www.ultimatezip.com) all the way.
