Re:I had the same feeling when I first heard it but I doubt it. It seems plausible that they would want to stress some of the servers they mean to use during release for such an ambitious game as WOW. But really I'm just talking out of my ass and have no idea how these things really work out. Seeing as this was the first MMORPG that I have ever played.

Err…your client is not ready to go…whole new client is going to need to be downloaded.

and guy is right, they will have a short "stress test", probably on all of there new servers being implemented over this weekend
whenever that is done, open beta signups need to begin before there is an actual open beta

Seeing as that they haven't even announced when sign ups for Open Beta will be, I doubt that it will begin Monday. Maybe this coming weekend at the earliest.

Re:Yeah it almost looked like on the site that you would have to download a new client. I wouldn't think so though, but it did say the beta testers would have first pick of downloads, so I'm not too sure.

Re:Yep, and I can?t wait especially after the disappointment that is Guild Wars. All these people who were making a fuss about that game being a WoW killer, LOL they aren?t even in the same league. There is a reason that game has no monthly fee, it?s because no one in their right mind would pay to play it. *Waits to get flamed by the bnet kiddies who love GW and have already infested the games world preview event*
Back on topic though, do you think they will let us use our stress test client many of us already have? I have it all patched up so I assume they do intend on using it. I don?t want to have to redownload another new client.
