Re:Man I HATE UPnP. I just finished a VPN client to work with MS's quarantine feature in RRAS and part of it's checks are to ensure all of the adapter's have windows firewall turned off (since we require a different one). The API's Windows provides for running through the list of adapters pukes if there is a UPnP (Internet Gateway) device in the list, at least it does for Linksys routers

Does your router have UPnP enabled? You might try disabling it, and then rebooting your PC, and see if that "Internet Gateway" comes back or not. However, if you have multiple computers behind the router, and they all play online games, you might just want to leave UPnP enabled, and deal with that extra icon. It's not really hurting anything.
yeah…i have a lappy and a desktop on the router…so i guess i need upnp ???

Re:You have a screenshot of your network connections page? You need a connection in there to get out on the net, maybe it labeled it internet gatway when you used the network wizard(I've never used it so not sure)
Re:no, network is fine i guess. Just wondering…
Re:Is it messing things up, or do you just not want the icon there?
